We are a Canadian company based in London (Ontario). Founded in 2025, we engineer cutting-edge, next generation solutions for the Hydrocarbon Processing Industries (HPI).
Every Hydrocarbon Processing Unit is a Continuous Manufacturing Process. Hence, standard AI techniques developed for Discrete-Event Processes don't work in the HPI.
Our solutions combine the wisdom of science and the power of artificial intelligence. Hence, our solutions are in accordance with the laws of
We ignore the noise and the hype surrounding AI and focus strictly on meeting the complex demands of the Hydrocarbon Processing Industries.
Exentropic combines veteran process design expertise with modern machine learning research to deliver robust industrial AI suites.

Co-Founder & CTO
Dr. Makwana holds B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Process Integration) from the University of Manchester, UK. He is an expert in process integration, mathematical optimization, and cloud-scale AI architecture. Over his 25+ year career, he developed innovative process optimization models for the HYSYS suite at Hyprotech and architected AI-driven platforms scaling to over 10 million users globally. His core expertise includes:
The AI and Machine Learning Division is responsible for building, training, and testing our deep neural networks. They specialize in integrating thermodynamic equations directly into deep learning layers, managing high-throughput plant data feeds, and keeping simulation errors to a minimum.
The Process Engineering Division is responsible for first-principles verification. Fusing decades of design expertise in refinery piping layouts, reactor design constraints, and safety guidelines, they review all digital twin case configurations and audit HAZOP-X safety reports.
